Recent happenings

My country people,
Whither Nigeria? I wonder if others are viewing things happening around us in the same light as I view them? Governors being thrown out of office and still holding unto power, Senators accusing themselves of being 419ers and later retract their accusations, Cultists being negotiated with in the Niger Delta as if they are a legitimate pressure group, all kinds of happenstance in our country these days. I just hope the boys in khaki are not allowed to read papers.

Well, there is still something to put the shine into our daily lives, even if just for a few days/weeks. The African Cup of Nations in Ghana. The Super Eagles nearly caused so many heartbreaks here in Nigeria with their lacklustre performance in the group stages. However, we all want to believe they have learnt their lessons and are back as the team to be feared in Africa. Our quarterfinal engagement with the hosts will be quite a cracker. I will post here after the match just to let people know my boundless joy when we defeat Ghana. Until then be a good and worthy Nigerian wherever you are and GOD bless our country.
